Robert Indiana: A Retrospective was the artist's first solo exhibition at Galerie Gmurzynska in Zurich. The exhibition included several early works, among them The Melville Triptych (1962) and Diamond Six (1966), and examples of the Peace paintings and the American Dream, Hartley Elegies, and Marilyn series. Works from his Ài, Ping, and Ginkgo Ài series were shown for the first time.
