Indiana's Terre Haute (1960) and The Triumph of Tira (1960–62) were included in Hand-Painted Pop, an exhibition of 160 works by 21 artists, which examined the complex period between New York School painting and Pop art. The show traveled to the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, 3 April–20 June 1993, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, 16 July–3 October 1993.
